Tashauna Wynter '25

Tashauna Wynter is a senior, health sciences major with a concentration in the pre-physician assistant track. She is a also a student in the Mercy Scholars Progam and a member of the Pre-Physician Assistant Club. She holds multiple leadership positions on the Westchester Campus, such as Resident Assistant and President of Mercy University’s Black Student Union where she helps promote a welcoming, inclusive and diverse community for students of color. She is also manager of Prestigious Divas, a performance organization which promotes creativity and serves as an outlet away from her studies. Additionally, she volunteers at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and is a Bridge Coach for the Bronx High School for Law and Community Service. Born and raised in Jamaica, Wynter is a first-generation college student who values her education and believes that giving back to underserved communities is essential experience as a future health care provider.
